A reader, Lia Tremblay, sends this image of an “it’s-its” error from a SunSilk hair-care products display at a Wal-Mart.
A freelance writer and editor, Lia wrote, “It’s troubling enough to think that this portion of [the company’s] million-dollar ‘Get Hairapy’ marketing campaign made it past numerous marketing professionals without raising a red pen. What’s more troubling is actually the more likely scenario: that at least one of said professionals caught the error, but decided that the average person wouldn’t notice it. Even if it’s in four-inch purple letters. Under fluorescent lights. In the middle of Walmart.”
