Watching the 2012 election as an outsider, my first since leaving the newspaper business for good, was most relaxing. I could express political viewpoints to my friends on Facebook, although I did avoid such expressions on the Grammar Guide Facebook page and on the Grammar Guide Twitter feed. I didn’t have to stay awake to the bitter end on Election Night, although I did make it through Ohio. I was glad not to be working that night, though I missed the pizza newsroom bosses provide for the folks who are hard at work.
